Erase Wrinkles Through Fat Fillers

Sagging and aged skin are some of the major problems that many women face. There are many techniques employed to address this problem. Fat Fillers is one such technique employed to deal with wrinkles on the face.

In this technique fat from one’s own abdomen, thighs or buttocks are taken and injected into the facial skin. This is generally done to fill cheeks or lines around the mouth and nose.

It is also used to create fuller and more enhanced lips. This process of injecting fat into the facial muscles is known as autologous fat transplantation. Since the fat used comes directly from the patient, there is no risk of allergic reaction.

This technique is also used to address problems of damaged skin caused due to overexposure to the sun.

Just like any other surgery, this technique also starts off by injecting topical anesthetic to the area where the fat will be injected.  Fat is then taken from the donor area and is prepared for injection. Some swelling and redness is typical in and around the treatment areas.

Post-Treatment

The amount of swelling and redness differs from individual to individual and is based on the area to be treated. Swelling and redness in some cases may last up to several weeks. If you experience any pain or extended swelling, contact your doctor.

How long will the results last?

Fat filler may last anywhere from 3 months to a year, depending on the size and area treated. Typically results disappear by six months.

This is not a permanent treatment. Consult your doctor if you want short term results.
