Vitamin E Wrinkles Treatment For a Smooth Skin

Vitamin E is used in wrinkle treatment in the form of creams, oil and supplements. Vitamin E works as an antioxidant and reduces wrinkles, giving rise to a smooth complexion. It also protects our skin from UV rays. Consuming  Vitamin E from food sources is the best way to have a healthy skin. Spinach, papaya, almonds, and sunflower seeds are good sources of Vitamin E.

How Does Vitamin E Wrinkles Treatment Work?

Vitamin E protects the skin by neutralizing the free radicals. Free radicals are highly charged oxygen molecules which can harm the skin and result in wrinkles. Vitamin E reduces the wrinkles by neutralizing the free radicals resulting in a healthy skin.

Animal studies show that Vitamin E is helpful in reducing wrinkles, facial lines and rough skin. Further research is need to ascertain whether vitamin E reduces wrinkles by itself or in combination with other antioxidants.

Vitamin E also protects the skin from UV radiation. However, it is recommended to apply vitamin E after exposure to the sun, than before exposure.  Applying vitamin E oil about 8 hours after sun exposure can be helpful in protecting the skin from UV radition. Consuming Vitamin E in the diet can also offer similar benefits.

Vitamin E is available in the form of creams, oils, suppements. However, experts opine that vitamin E intake from the food sources is most beneficial. Some of the food sources of vitamin E are wheat germ, spinach seeds, almonds, olives, papaya, blueberries, turnip greens,  collard greens and mustard greens.
