Vitamin C is the most important ingredient in skin care products. Therefore, taking vitamin C for wrinkles helps to minimize the appearance of fine lines.   • Vitamin C is vital for enhancing collagen production in the body. Collagen is an important structural protein for the skin. Vitamin C acts as an antioxidant and is important for fighting against free radicals that damage the skin. When this vitamin is properly delivered into the skin, it helps to improve skin texture and reduces wrinkles.
  • Vitamin C is important for the strengthening of capillaries and blood vessels that transport oxygen and nutrients to skin. It protects the capillaries from breakage and improves skin tone and color.
  • This vitamin is essential to protect from harmful sun’s rays. Vitamin C is used up by the body at a rapid rate.   • In case of poorly prepared skin care products, vitamin C is oxidized even before its application. Oxidized form of vitamin C is yellow in color. Only preparations that are highly concentrated are effective to deliver vitamin C to skin cells. These problems can be overcomed by properly preserving vitamin C with protective substances and it should be prepared in such a way that it gets quickly absorbed into the skin.
