Facial Masks for Wrinkles

Skin loses its elasticity and appearance of youth and vigor as we age. This is one of signs of aging and appearance of wrinkles. Though, we cannot avoid the appearance of wrinkles, but we can delay their occurrence. One of the methods is to apply natural facial masks for wrinkles before one goes under the knife or take botox injections. The efficacy of the anti-wrinkle creams is also not clear. Thus, one should use homemade facial masks for wrinkles which can improve the skin’s condition noticeably. These anti-wrinkle face masks are discussed in this article.

Homemade Facial Masks for Wrinkles

Some of the natural anti-wrinkle face which can be easily prepared at home are as follows:

  • Honey mask

    – Take 1½ tablespoon of honey, ½ teaspoon carrot juice and a pinch of sodium bicarbonate. Dip cotton ball in soda solution and apply mixture of carrot and honey juice on the face. Wash it after 20 minutes with warm water.

  • Banana mask

    – Banana is the best anti-wrinkle fruit. Take 1/4th banana and mash it. Apply it over face and leave for 20 minutes. Wash with warm water followed by cold water. Another recipe prepared by ripe banana is to mix banana pulp with rose water and apply over the face for half an hour. Wash it and pat dry the face. Apply a moisturizer afterwards on the face.

  • Carrot cream

    – Extract juice from 100 grams of carrot and mix 1 teaspoon of almond oil. Refrigerate for two hours and apply it on your face and around eyes fr half an hour. Wash with lukewarm water finally.

  • Apple mask

    – Mash apple pulp and apply over your face. Then wash with water and pat dry. Apple is rich in vitamins and helps tighten the skin.

  • Lemon and peach face pack

    – Take 2 peaches and mash it. Mix lemon in the pulp and apply it over the neck and face for 20 minutes. Wash it and apply moisturizer.

  • Egg white face pack

    – Take out the white part of an egg and mix 1 teaspoon of olive and lemon juice in it. Apply the mixture on the neck and face for 20 minutes. Wash it and apply moisturizer on the face.

  1. I love carrot see extract. It’s so softening.

    I have stumbled on several recipes but I am still hesitant to take the homemade face masks route. I don’t know what it is about food that is so frightening (for cosmetic use).

    But you cannot go wrong with carrot seed oil. I’ve been using a face mask made by Face Masque Bar. – It’s one of the clay variates. The cost isn’t bad at all. They sell them for $18. Apparently you can find coupons quite easily. Anyway, it has carrot seed oil and it totally hydrates my skin in a way no facial mask has done for me in the past.
