Eye Wrinkles

Age takes it toll on us within no time. Notice the eye wrinkles and furrowed eyebrows that don’t haste in spoiling the beauty of our eyes. But there isn’t much to worry. Just follow a few tips to lend more spark and beauty to your eyes.

Causes of eye wrinkles:

Eye wrinkles are not related to the inner most layer of the skin, that is, the epidermis. However, they arise because the middle layer of the skin, that is, the dermis contracts and subsequently the outer most subcutaneous layer also loosens.

The dermis contains elastin and collagen, both of which prevent wrinkles and keeps the skin looking healthy and fresh. They also help in retaining moisture and in making the skin flexible. However, with time the dermis becomes thinner and loses its capacity to retain moisture or stretch. Gradually, the subcutaneous layer also begins to lose fat and does not give a young and soft look.

The factors that promote such causes of eye wrinkles:

Age for eye wrinkles:

Different skins have different proportions of collagen or elastin content. Sebum, an oil that the skin secretes, can also vary from person to person. So, wrinkles don’t always target the old but also the young. Wrinkles can also arise as per our respective genes, eating habits and lifestyle.

Tips to prevent eye wrinkles:

Eye wrinkles are also known as the crow’s feet and can arise not just with age but due to other reasons as well. For example, squinting of the eye in poor or strong light, or being careless about eyesight problems can also be stressful for the eyes and cause wrinkles.

Usually people relate eye wrinkles with an aging phenomenon, but if you value your looks then do take care of your eyes and meet the necessary demands to avoid wrinkles round those youthful pair of eyes.

I too have suffered with dark undereye circles and general bad skin around my eyes. I’ve tried every eye cream imaginable – from clinique to oil of olay. None was particularly spectacular or produced any measurable results. I took my search online to find something more intense to use and chanced upon an eye cream called Extreme Eye Rescue by Isabella Pelle. It has soy rice peptides, retinol, and pentapeptides – among other ingredients. I ordered it and was actually surprised…after a night of having it on I could have sworn my dark undereye circles had faded a bit. Thought I might be hallucinating, but I continued using it. By the time I reached the end of the bottle I was impressed – my dark circles had faded and the skin quality around my eyes had improved a lot. I’ve been using it since and love it. It’s fairly inexpensive and the company offers free shipping on all orders. Check them out :)
